Princeton in Brazil Internship Program


The program has been established by the Office of International Programs, the Dean of the College, and the Princeton Club of Brazil to consolidate and expand Brazilian internship opportunities. Princeton University’s International Internship Program sends over one hundred students to take part in international internships in more than 35 countries each year. International internships support students with career advancement opportunities and provide cultural immersion around the globe. They are 8-12 weeks long and take place from June-August each year.

Casa de Rui Barbosa is one of Brazil’s most respected cultural institutions, founded in 1927 and based in the former residence of the distinguished Brazilian politician and writer bearing its name. It produces cultural programs and publications. www.casaruibarbosa.gov.br.

The Fulbright Program
was established in 1946 to promote the mutual understanding between the people of the United States of America and other countries. In Brazil, the program has awarded more than 5,500 grants for over fifty years. www.fulbright.org.br.

The Institute for Studies on Religion (ISER)
is a non-governmental, non-profit organization that works to strengthen civil society and citizenship through the development of research projects on Violence, Public Safety, and Human Rights; Environment; Civil Society Organizations; and Religion and Society. ISER has conducted studies for the Ministry of Justice, the Secretary of Public Security of Rio de Janeiro State, the UNESCO, and NGOs such as Viva Rio. www.iser.org.br.
