Testimonials

"I have had many memorable experiences as a Princeton undergraduate, but some of the best ones yet have come from the time I spent with fellow Princetonians far away from FitzRandolph Gate.  An eclectic and dynamic bunch, the Princeton Club of Brazil is Latin America’s largest alumni organization, comprised of American expatriates, native Brazilians, and others.  All members share an undying commitment to Old Nassau that is neither weakened nor strained by the physical distance separating the two, as evidenced by the extraordinary Princeton Week in Brazil.  On a more personal level, club members have been extremely kind and helpful to me as I prepare for a semester abroad in São Paulo.  The club’s many new and exciting initiatives are no doubt a testament to the energy and passion that characterize the Princeton Club of Brazil." "Congratulations – parabéns ! – to the Princeton Club of Brazil for the very impressive week of  diverse and enjoyable activities assembled and offered in Rio de Janeiro.  From the delightful  musical presentations by the talented Nassoons, visiting Brazil during Princeton's semester break, to stimulating discussions by distinguished Princeton professors and eminent Brazilian alumni, the Princeton Week in Brazil went far beyond its advertised objectives.   In a most congenial environment alumni, friends, Brazilian teachers and prospective students had the opportunity to meet and mix, across generations, nationalities and fields of interest.  I'm sure the week continues through memories, correspondence, and plans for the future. Again, parabéns!"

"As a new member and the international club liaison of the Princeton in Brazil Club, I found that many of the highlights and most interesting adventures of my transition from Costa Rica to Brazil in the last few months have been through interactions with Princetonians at the club. I have started a leadership institute, a sustainable investment group, hiked up Corcovado, explored jazz at a favela and engaged in many more exciting new initiatives with my fellow Princetonians. Thank you Princeton Club of Brazil!" Pablo Jenkins ‘99

"The Princeton in Brazil Week claimed many outstanding achievements. It geared the university's muscles and minds towards Brazil as an important international focal point, got notable Brazilian alumni involved again with the University, mobilized the Brazilian international community, showcased Princeton for perspective students, leveraged several partnerships between Princeton and other Ivy League schools and Brazilian institutions, promoted incredible networking opportunities, was stage of the first Brazilian tour of a Princeton a cappella group with the Nassoons, among other remarkable outcomes. But for me, it was all about reviving the Princeton experience, as if I had never left campus. Actually, we transported Old Nassau to Rio for a week. And the effects are longstanding." “For me, as a founder, the principal pleasure was the contagious enthusiasm of so many people who contributed to the rejuvenation of the Club--alumni both graduate and undergraduate, as well as current students.  One principal purpose was to get better name recognition for Princeton in Brazil, where it far less well-known than Harvard or Yale (possibly because those institutions have professional graduate programs and Princeton does not).  The other was to get better name recognition for Brazil in Princeton (where it is far less well-known than China or India).  Both goals were achieved.” Michael Royster ‘64
